The Friends of READ/San Diego is proud to be a provider of this
tremendously valuable and fun event that supports the ongoing
development of adult literacy tutors.
Located at the Joan Kroc
Peace & Justice Center at the University of San Diego campus, this
day of seminars will feature multiple tracks of programming, our
luncheon lecture, fund raising Silent Auction, and a chance for
networking by adult literacy volunteers, professionals, and educators.
If
you are a tutor or literacy profession we encourage you to consider
joining us for this valuable exchange of ideas and techniques. The
classes are taught by both professionals and very experienced volunteer
tutors, with strong basis in outcomes and academic research.
Registration will be open before the 8:00 a.m. start, and the classes
will run through 4:30 p.m., with the Silent Auction wrapping up pretty
soon afterward.
