The Friends of READ San Diego Approved for Ralph's Grocery Community Contribution Program, 11/10/2009
The Friends of READ San Diego Adult Literacy Programs organization has been approved as a recipient of funds from Ralph's Grocery Stores.  Ralph's Community Contribution Program will make a donation to The Friends every time you use your Ralph's Rewards discount shopper card.

Do you shop at Ralph's Grocery stores? Then please help The Friends by signing up for this program.  The sign up process is listed below.  Once you are signed up, simply shop at Ralph's Grocery and be sure to use your Ralph's Rewards card on every purchase.  Then Ralph's will make contributions to The Friends of READ San Diego based on the amount of the combined purchases of everyone who is signed up. This program costs you nothing for Ralph's to make the donation, just a little time for the initial process.

Steps to sign up for the Ralph's Grocery Community Contribution Program for The Friends of READ/SD;

1) Join Ralph's Rewards and get your Ralph's Rewards card. (click here for store locator) Have your card number ready for step 2.

2) Make an online account for your Ralph's Rewards membership (under the "New Customer" heading). (click here for link)  After having made your online account, you will have to verify that account with your supplied email address account.

3) After logging onto your Ralph's online account, click on the "My Account" page link. On the left part of the "My Account" web page, click on the "Community Contribution Program" page link, and designate The Friends of READ San Diego for your Community Contribution Program recipient by entering the number 91865 in the "Find Your Organization" input box.  Continue with and finish the designation process.

4) Use your Ralph's Rewards card every time you shop at Ralph's to make an easy donation to The Friends of READ San Diego.

Now if you read the details of this program online you'll observe that Ralph's is making a 1%-4% donation to the Friends, based on your purchase total.  The percentage range is determined by the monthly purchasing range of each user.  By itself this might seem like a small amount.  However if you consistently use your Ralph's Rewards card, and other people do the same, then all of the purchases combine to make a large donation.  So please sign up for this program and consistently use your Ralph's Rewards card to support The Friends of READ San Diego Adult Literacy Programs.

You should note that by designating The Friends as a recipient in the Ralph's Community Contribution Program there will not be any other changes to your Ralph's Rewards, or other shopping discounts from Ralph's Grocery stores.
